Call to Order: The Regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of Timbers Water & Sanitation District was called to order by President Lomas on July 10, 2023, at 6:00 pm, noting a quorum was present.
Consent Agenda: The Board reviewed the regular meeting minutes, financial statements, and the AR report from June 2023. Upon motion duly made by Ms. Lightfood and seconded by Mr. Osteen it was
RESOLVED to approve the consent agenda.
Invoices: Invoices for June 2023 were reviewed; all invoices were approved for payment. Upon motion duly made by Mr. Ioffredo seconded by Ms. Lightfoot, it was
RESOLVED to approve payment of the open invoices.
Transfer of funds from TWSD to TWSWA Enterprise:
$5000 transfer requested and granted.
Manager’s Updates: From John Fitzgerald: I don’t have June lab results yet so no report regarding BOD removal/TIN. May BOD removal was 95% and TIN results were 3.7mg/l, the plant is back to normal operations.
Still working with All Drain Services and hopefully D&D to locate and repair the leak just above Buckingham Ln. D&D has committed to doing the work but is having trouble finding the time.
Old and New Business:
Fire Hydrant on Buckingham Lane – John has completed the painting on the Bollards that were installed by Native Excavating. This project is completed.
Lot 1 Easement – Ms. Sherman has reached out to Walter McGill many times to get issue with the easement on the access to the water tank cleared up but has not had a response yet.
Water Meters – Mr. Ioffredo is waiting for return phone calls from other local water districts to discuss what they have done in the past. He will report more on this topic in August.
New board member search – Mr. Lomas has reached out to David and Erica Fisher to see if they are interested. Erica is interested and sending her resume to Mr. Lomas. Mr. Lomas would also like to ask if Ed Hoffman would be interested in the position. Mr. Lomas will report back to the Board at the August meeting.
Sewer Line Leak Update – D&D has dug down to find the manhole to run a camera through. They found a clogged up pipe. Mr. Osteen reported to the board that this is a process not an event; it is costing the District about $2000 a day. D&D is hoping to get the manhole pumped out by Action Drain Services on Friday so they could see further down the line to locate the break. The Board is worried how this amount of work will affect the budget and reserves. Mrs. O’Halloran will research exactly how much is accessible this fiscal year and will report back to the Board.
Drain Flyer – The Board asked that Mrs. O’Halloran print the fliers that were created; Mr. Lomas and Mrs. O’Halloran will distribute once printed.
