Currently working with All Drain Services to locate leak just below Michael Goudreau’s house. Borrowing metal detector from CDC today if available. Most recent update: Location known. Extent of damage/repair unknown. D&D to expose leak and explore on 6/20 Tuesday at 9am.
I want to touch base on the fragility of our WW Plant. It is basically a stomach that can be upset. However, when it gets upset it can take over three months to recover. It has to grow and nurture bugs just like a living stomach and when it is posioned it cannot do it’s job. I am not sure how often you communicate with our residents but I would recommend monthly reminders of what cannot go into our WW System. Below is a link to a good list to remind residents of what is not OK. I don’t need to remind anyone on the board of the cost involved with the Plant but residents may need reminders often (we get new residents now and then). I mention this because it appears paint or some other undesirable chemical made it’s way into the plant this winter and it is struggling to recover.
Old and New Business:
Fire Hydrant on Buckingham Lane – Native Excavating will begin installation on Thursday. Ms. Lightfoot stated she needs placement direction to give to Native. She and Mr. Lomas will go down to measure and place where they will be located soon.
Lot 1 Easement – Mrs. Sherman has met with Walter McGill and will be finalizing these easements soon. She believes it should be completed this month.
Water Meters – Mr. Ioffredo will be meeting with the contact at Dakota Ridge who just had meters installed. He will begin the preliminary research on this project this summer. Mr. Lomas and Mr. Ioffredo stated they will begin looking into digging for a new well in the coming years as well.
Contractor Insurance – Mr. Lomas finished his research on this topic and had Mrs. O’Halloran add all three contractors to the Districts Liability insurance at zero cost to the District.
Appoint a new board member – Brock Knez has sold his property and vacated his seat on the Board. Mr. Lomas has suggested/reached out to the Fisher residence to see if there is any interest there. The rest of the Board was encouraged to reach out to anyone they know. This should be completed by end of July.
August meeting date conflict – Mrs. O’Halloran requested a meeting date change in the month of August. Mr. Lomas proposed the meeting be changed to August 22nd at 6 pm. All board members were in agreement and the meeting will be adjusted.
With business concluded and upon motion duly and unanimously approved, it was
RESOLVED to adjourn the regular meeting the Timbers Water & Sanitation District Board of Directors
at 6:55 pm, this 12th day of June 2023.
Respectfully submitted, Kasey O’Halloran
